SME’s and entrepreneurs should go global to boost business
Small and medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurs should consider trading abroad, particularly in countries like Brazil, Russia, India and China, according to one international business expert.
Roger Harrop, business expert and international speaker said: “The other thing I would say is that for the first time in my life, the government has opportunities which are really helping people. The passport and export scheme is particularly good because the UKTI (UK Trade and Investment) is absolutely excellent and they will help you to export.”
A recent report by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, said that SMEs should take advantage of the opportunities available to them to get trading and look at potential new markets abroad.
Mr Harrop, added: “I’m very positive about all that, it is really not difficult for people to start working and selling overseas and being very successful,” he added.
