Online resources are top of the list when it comes to research

Online search engines are the first port of call for most people when seeking information, according to a new study.
A poll by Pew Internet Project found that 91 per cent of people carry out their research via online platforms.
Their analysis revealed that these web users are generally very happy with the quality of information after 86 per cent users learned something new or important that really helped them or increased their knowledge.
The study also found that nearly 30 per cent of consumers will happily let search engines collect information about them because this could give them better results the next time they search for information on the internet.
Targeting advertising is also a big hit among consumers, 28 per cent of people said they favoured these types of adverts because it allows them to see only those advertisements which are of interest to them.
